Sanchez is a town on the south coast of the peninsula of Samana named after one of the three Founding Fathers of the Dominican Republic Francisco del Rosario Sanchez. The main economic activity of the municipality is agriculture. It was a very small town but it grew in importance and population when the railway from town to La Vega began to run across the rich region of the Cibao. Sanchez became the most important port of the country during the rest of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. The railway worked until 1966. It is a cross point on the way from the mainland toward Samana peninsula. Here you should choose to go north by the mountains road to Las Terrenas or continue along highway 5 to Santa Barbara de Samana.
Your work is really wonderful. We are very happy we have this opportunity to add your work to our promotion. The most dramatic impression is when you walk through the front door and see the vivid blue sea in front of you so I like a shot of that added.
